Here at Salem each new member has the opportunity to attend four teaching sessions (once per week during the Sunday School hour) based on the following subjects:
(1) What it means to be a Christian (the basics of the Christian faith);
(2) What it means to be a Baptist (a basic lesson in Baptist history);
(3) What it means to be a member of Salem (our local church history); and
(4) What it means to be me (discovering one's gifts for serving the Lord).
We offer separate classes for children, youth, and adults. While the four sessions are required for full church membership, those still praying about where the Lord is leading them in regards to a church home are also welcome to take the classes.
